		Dear User,
		Best Western Italia SCpA (hereinafter "Best Western") respects and safeguards your privacy.
		Pursuant to Article 13 of the Privacy Code (Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003), below we set out our statement concerning handling of the personal data of users who intend to receive the Best Western newsletter (hereinafter “Users”) by registering themselves in the specific section of the website www.bestwestern.it (hereinafter “Site”).
		This statement relates solely to the Best Western newsletter (hereinafter “Programme”). Specific privacy statements will be indicated or shown on Site pages relating to other services or promotions.
			1. Data controller
				The Data Controller responsible for the handling of Site Users’ personal data is the company Best Western Italia SCpA with registered offices in Milan (Italy) at the address Via Livraghi 1/b. 
			2. Purposes of data handling and processing: marketing, sending of commercial communications and direct selling 
				With your express, freely given and optional consent, your personal data will be handled and processed by Best Western for marketing purposes, for sending commercial communications and for direct selling via e-mail to propose to you the purchase of products or services offered by Best Western itself or by third-party commercial partners of Best Western active in the tourism/hotel sector. Personal data handled and processed for such purposes will not be communicated to third parties or disclosed.
				By expressing such consent, you will receive at your e-mail address the Bes Western newsletter, containing news and information about our services and promotions, as well as about services and promotions offered by other commercial partners of Best Western active in the tourism/hotel sector.
				Provision of these personal data and consent to their handling and processing for this purpose is freely given and optional and any refusal will in no way jeopardize the possibility of making a booking on the Site and using the services requested. We remind you that, even if you give your consent, afterwards you can at any time oppose the handling and processing of your personal data for this purpose, and also exercise the rights indicated in Article 7 of the Privacy Code by simply making a request to Best Western, using the contacts indicated later on in section 6.
			3.  How data are handled and  processed
				Handling and processing is done by means of automated tools (e.g. using electronic procedures and supports) and/or manually (e.g. physical supports) for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data have been collected and, in any case, in compliance with current relevant regulatory requirements. Specific security measures are observed to prevent loss of data, unlawful use or abuse and unauthorized access.
			4.  Scope of communication and disclosure of data
				Your personal data may come to the knowledge of the parties appointed by Best Western at any given time as “processors” or “delegated processors”
				The following parties may also become aware of your data, in their capacity as external processors appointed by Best Western: third-party companies that provide Best Western with services to manage its customer databases or that handle promotional campaigns on Best Western’s behalf; and Best Western advisors.
				Your data will in no way be externally disclosed. 
			5. Transfer of your data abroad 
				Best Western informs you that, if Best Western decides to locate its databases abroad or to appoint external processors located abroad, it may be necessary to transfer your personal data to countries both within and outside the European Union, including the USA.
			6. Your rights (Article 7 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003)
				You have the right at all times to obtain confirmation of the existence of otherwise of your data and know their contents and origin, check their accuracy or ask for them to be supplemented, amended or rectified. Pursuant to the same article, you have the right to ask for the deletion, conversion into anonymous form or blocking of data handled and processed in breach of the law, as well as to oppose, for legitimate reasons, their handling and processing.
